This wasnt a gay scandal. The fact that David Laws had a boyfriend was unknown to the public, but inconsequential to the issue. Whether he is gay, straight, or anything inbetween, it is wrong to pay over £40,000 of public money to rent a room from your lover, and he rightly resigned.

Good News today, as the Scottish Parliament committee agrees to hear our
petition to amend the Marriage Act 1977.
The LGBT Network is hopeful that the Scottish Government will listen to
our pleas to end this inequality, and will agree to allow couples to marry the
partner of their choice.
