10 year old boy on gay hate register
How Typical of the Daily beyond the pale Daily Mail to run the story in such a way that the 10 year old boy was somehow a victim of overzealous anti-gay measures.
The story here, is written in the expected Daily Mail stomach-churning way so-as to provoke an angry response from right-wing pims drinkers.
The fact that the 10 year old boy believes that using the word ‘gay’ to taunt someone is acceptable, goes to show how far this country has sunk into the gutter when it comes to equality and respect for diversity.
I believe that the school was perfectly right to record the incident, perhaps they should be concentrating more on speaking to the boy and his ’shocked’ parents about what the word gay means and how that throwing these terms about as insults, leads only to the further embedding of hatred in our society.
On another note, parading the perpetrating child through the right-wing press as a victim, is truly unacceptable and goes to show the mentality of the Daily Mail and highlights the steep learning curve that these parents are so in need of.
