Religion and Faith
Unlike a number of other LGBT organisations, the LGBT Network believe that religion is a fundamental right that everyone should have the choice of practicing. We do not advise abstention from religion due to the remarks and comments made by specific faith groups or individual churches, no religion has a monopoly on God and no religion is the one single path to enlightenment.
True Christians will confirm that we are all children of God, we were all created by God and being LGBT does not diminish God’s love for each and every person. Minority views tend to be played over and over in the media and do not represent the ‘norm’ of Christian views.
The LGBT Network has devised a policy which highlights our stance on Religion and Faith,
